Entry Three: a summary of events that occurred on February 20th, 2005

Dearest Tour Diary:

In the middle of the night Ernie and I heard an angry English woman screaming at her husband to leave her forever. When we awoke, we feasted upon several items. One of these was a waffle. I was so excited to eat a waffle. But when I bit into it, I discovered that this was not the "pancake with traps for syrup" that I anticipated. It was a starchy potato based item. A severe disappointment.

We left the Milton Keynes, land of roundabouts, and headed for London, land of outrageous fines. We got directions to our friend, Ariana's flat. Then the day proceeded thusly: Drive to London. Get Lost. Find Ariana by accident. Serendipity prevailed; for we found Arianna and then ate Indian food, buffet style. We became acquainted with the double-decker busses and found our way to Parliament. We proceeded to protest taxation without representation.

After Oliver Cromwell kicked us off the government property, we went to see the biggest Olympic athlete in history. She was telling everyone to vote for London when they decide the location of the 2012 Olympics. This was a very effective method of campaigning. Presidents will now adopt it.

We bought things to make for a stirfry that night, but we never did. The Indian food that comprised our luncheon magically held us over. Either that or we were much too tired to cook. Snoozers. We watched Harold and Kumar go to White Castle. Brilliant social commentary… "Bullets, my only weakness. How did you know?"

Before we went to sleep, Erika told us about a book she was reading, Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell. It's about magicians, and England, and Napoleon, and fairies, and political troubles. It sounded awesome.
