Harry Potter Fans for Darfur, a podcast full of information and
entertainment aimed at helping Harry Potter fans use the messages in the
books to fight real injustice in the world.
The show features
interviews and insight from world leaders on the subject, including leading
human rights activist John
Prenderdergast, and retired diplomat Joseph
C. Wilson (author of The Politics of Truth: Inside the Lies that
Led to War and Betrayed My Wife's CIA Identity: A Diplomat's Memoir).
It features interviews,
discussions, cameos, and humor bits from wizard rockers Harry
and the Potters, Draco
and the Malfoys, The
Remus Lupins, and more. Matthew Vines of Veritaserum
talks about his experiences fighting injustice in the Sudan.
And best of all,
it contains concrete information on how you can get involved, and join
the real Dumbledore's Army.

We just booked
a show for tomorrow in El Paso. Be there!
Summer whiffle ball
standings:
Harry Year 7 3 – 0
Harry Year 4 0 – 3
But now we’ve
resolved our differences and we vow to work together as a rocking, whiffle
ball duo that plans to defeat Team Pottercast in a major way.

Summer tour starts
tomorrow!
We are touring all
over the country! We're covering 34 states and even have a few gigs
up in the Great White North of Canada. Have a look below at our
incredible list of tour dates. We are really pumped and determined
to make this the best summer ever!
Oh, and I've decided
that this should be our motto for the summer: You Gotta Do All The Stuff
That You Love!
You with us? GOOD!
We know you love
reading, so we're happy to present you with our Summer Reading List for
2007. If you read any of the books on this list and bring a book report
to one of our summer shows, then we'll give you a free Harry and the Potters
toothbrush! This summer's edition either read "Rock the Plaque Off!"
or "Scourgify Your Teeth!" Your choice! Here's the list:
His Dark Materials
- Philip Pullman
Catcher in the Rye - JD Salinger
Wise Blood - Flannery O'Connor
the Giver - Lois Lowry
Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close - Jonathan Safran Foer
For more details
on these books and why we chose them, read
here.
As you can see, it's
a really long tour. If you were thinking of bringing cupcakes or anything,
we'd probably prefer something healthier like Larabars or fruit or Vitamin
Water or something like that you know? We've got to stay strong. Keep
the power up! Cupcakes are still cool though.
OK, enough of this,
you just want those tour dates. Well they're just below. Please
come to a show or two if you can. We miss you!

2) Summer Tour News!
Pottercast
will be joining us for three special shows this summer! We have
shows together in Albuquerque, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles. Not only
that, but they have a tour of their own whcih closely follows the very
same tour that we have through the southeastern US. You can see
all the Pottercast
Tour Dates here, and chances are if we're in your town in late June,
then Pottercast is also there earlier in the day and you can talk the
wizard talk with them and the rock the wizard rock with us later in the
evening!
Still confirming
some summer dates. Watch for those TBAs to disappear quick.
April 29, 2007
Summer tour is coming
soon! The wonderful thing about this tour is that once we've completed
it, we will have played in all 48 continental states! Watch out
Alaska and Hawaii. You're next!
We're also very excited
to play in Harvard Square on July 20th. It will
be a really special night, and it will be an entirely free show, so I
hope you'll consider joining us! We're going to have the PARTY of
the YEAR - for sure!
As you may have noticed,
there's still some TBAs. We'll get those filled in shortly.
If any of those dates are in your area and you want to help set something
up with us, send us an email!
All post-book 7 dates
will be with those spoiled brats in Draco
and the Malfoys.
We'll post the summer
reading list soon, so you can start prepping!
Best Summer EVER?
You KNOW IT!
Love love love,
Paul and Joe

Hello dear friends,
We're always amazed by the kindness and generosity of the Harry Potter
community, and we feel absolutely privileged to be a part of it. The warmth
of your hearts is truly the greatest weapon we have against evil, and
I cannot thank you enough for your willingness to fight with us.
As often as we can, we try and undertake projects that will be fun, but
also have the potential to make a difference in this wonderful world that
we live in. A few months ago, we launched the Wizard
Rock EP of the Month Club which is donating all of it's proceeds to
First Book, a non-profit
organization that gives children from low-income families the opportunity
to read and own their first new books. So far we have had a wonderful
response to the community, and together, we should raise a ton of money
for First Book.
Now we'd like to once again appeal to your kind and generous nature and
ask you to check out this compilation that is in the works. Our friend
Matt has put together a compilation featuring some fine wizard and muggle
bands and half of the proceeds from this comp will go toward funding the
Harry Potter
Alliance this summer. The Harry Potter Alliance is an organization
that is aimed at creating a real-life Dumbledore's Army that is fueled
by friendship, creativity and the desire to fight the Dark Arts in the
REAL WORLD. This will be a very important summer for the Harry Potter
Alliance, and by purchasing this compilation, you can help to expand the
Alliance and ensure it's future vitality. Plus, at the same time, you
get a really excellent CD full of all your favorite wizard bands.
We have contributed an exclusive song to this compilation. Our song is
called "Bacon" and this is the only place that you will
ever be able to hear that song. It's about Harry's favourite food!
Here's the details on the CD:
Wizards and Muggles Rock For Social Justice
Now Available For Pre-Order!

Wizards and Muggles Rock For Social Justice is a massive
compilation featuring previously unreleased songs from 22 awesome wizard
and non-wizard rock bands! The CD also features art work from Dave
Roman, otherwise known as the guy who did the art for our Magical
Christmas of Magic compilation! And best of all, 50% of the proceeds
from this compilation will be donated to the
Harry Potter Alliance, a charitable organization dedicated to forming
an international network of activists and assisting them in their efforts
to tackle a variety of social, environmental and political issues!
The compilation is available for pre-orders now! Simply go to the Cheap
