Hello readers! We are Harry and the Potters and we’re here to tell you what you won’t be seeing in the new movie Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

In case you don’t know anything about our band (we still haven’t been mentioned in any of the books or movies!) it all started when we swiped a timeturner from the Ministry of Magic. Then Harry from Year 7 travelled back in time and started a band with Harry from Year 4. I guess it’s not a band really - more of a solo project. But hey, if you could travel through time, wouldn’t you start a band with yourself? You would never have to worry about creative differences! Anyway, there was a lot of stuff that happened to us during our fourth year at school that won’t be in the movie. Here are our top 5 memories that didn’t make the cut.

5. Flaming Lips show in Hogsmeade – This was one of the coolest events of the year. The whole school was psyched, even the professors. The Flaming Lips are some of Hogwarts most famous alumni. You didn’t realize they were wizards? How else could you explain the fact that they’ve been on Warner Brothers for the last 13 years with the kind of music that they write? They’ve got one of the most magical shows around. We were pretty bummed we didn’t get to open for them, but the show ruled anyway.

4. Breakdancing Lessons with Dumbledore – In anticipation of the Yule Ball, McGonagall started giving ballroom lessons and Dumbledore decided to drop some breakdancing knowledge on us. He can still tear it up even though he’s pretty old. He took a sabbatical in the early 80’s, moved to NYC, and taught those kids some tricks. Did you ever see him in Wild Style? He’s got mad skillz.

3. Fleur Delacour – We totally made out with Fleur Delacour. It was pretty great. Don’t tell Ron. Or Bill. Or Ginny.

2. DIY shows in the Room of Requirement – Year 4 was really rocking at Hogwarts. We stated booking shows every few weeks in the Room of Requirement. We even got some cool other wizard and muggle bands to drop by. Thom Yorke played a solo show, Pulp partied hard, and Jonathan Richman came by while he was on a UK tour. I guess maybe the administration started to get annoyed by all the punkers showing up because Dumbledore asked us find a better place for the shows. He was nice about it though and he hooked us up with this club in Hogsmeade that his old band used to play at. He even opened for us a few times with some solo acoustic stuff he’s been working on. It was pretty wild.

1. Battle of the Bands – There was a rather important bonus task in the Triwizard Tournament, but you won’t see it in the movie. It got cut because of running time. It was a battle of the bands between the four champions. The Great Hall was decked out like a rock club and each champion had their shot. Cedric went up there with some singer-songwriter stuff and it was pretty embarrassing. I think most of the songs were about Cho Chang. Weird! Krum did some “experimental” Kraftwerk-type stuff that put the whole audience to sleep. Fleur’s band was pretty good though. She played a bunch of French sexx jamz, but in the end, it wasn’t enough to match our tremendous onslaught of rock fury . I heard we rocked so hard that Voldemort’s own forehead started burning. Nothing can stop the wizard rock!
